Fine Arts
My interest in art first stemmed from Fine Arts. I have enjoyed it for as long as I can remember, but I did not start applying myself as a professional until about 16 years of age. I have painted custom designs on war shields, a drum, and regalia for a Traditional dancer friend. I have also done many t-shirt paintings and drawings for other friends and family. I work in pen & ink, pencil, pencil crayon, pastels, clay, scratchboard, paint, and wood. My paintings and drawings have elements of traditional Swampy Cree styles, although my background is James Bay Cree. I found I adapted more naturally to the Swampy style.
